Teton Science School Overview
Teton Science Schools' (TSS) mission is to connect people, nature and place through education, science and stewardship.
TSS is responsible for managing the 225-acre Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools and the ISR Open Space lots (~635 acres) south of Highway 22. The 860-acre parcel is protected under two conservation easements held by the Jackson Hole Land Trust.
Our land management and stewardship activities are overseen by our Property Management Department and guided by short- and long-term planning documents, which are adjusted as needed based on monitoring results. We focus our efforts on: fuels, wildlife habitat, weeds, fencing, irrigation, trails and pond, creek and fish management. Our primary document is the Open Space Management Plan.
Other plans include:
• Fuel and Habitat Management Plan
• Grazing Plan
• Trail Plan
• Fence Plan
